Gaztelueta – Jon Ander Ibarra (derecha) en la IBSC Conference en Vancouver (Canada)
Del 26 al 29 de Junio se está celebrando en St. George’s School de Vancouver (Canada) la International Boys’ Schools Coalition (IBSC) Conference, a la que pertenecen colegios de educación diferenciada masculinos de todo el mundo. Junto con el Director de Gaztelueta, D. Imanol Goyarrola, también han acudido a Vancouver D. Javier Camacho, profesor de Inglés, y Jon Ander Ibarra, alumno que comienza 2º Bachillerato. Este último representa al colegio en el 4th Students Forum, en el que veinte estudiantes de los cinco continentes han sido invitados a participar en representación de sus colegios. The IBSC Student Forum is based on the principle that education includes not only learning how to grow intellectually, physically, and emotionally, but also learning how to provide those opportunities for others. Selfless acts of service help boys move beyond concerns about their personal well-being with greater self-awareness and then share their learning as active members of the community. This forum emphasizes the importance of optimism, generosity, planning, and action in building local service leaders.
