2nd Baccalaureate science’ students attended yesterday a lecture on the video game industry. The speaker, Steven Longden, is member of DigiPen Institute of Technology, from Zierbana (Bizkaia). It is the second Digipen’s international campus and first campus in Europe. The Institute is a pioneer in game education committed to providing an exemplary education and furthering research in digital media and interactive computer technologies. Through the work of its students, faculty, and staff, DigiPen strives to empower and inspire the digital media and simulation industries around the globe. This Institute of Technology is the first school in the world to offer a bachelor’s degree in game development, and its students are among the most celebrated in the industry. Since 2001, their students have won 27 awards at the annual Independent Games Festival (IGF), more than any other school in the world.
